Question Opinions on adding a mileage value under location in avatar area?

What do you guys think about this? We see this once a week. I think it makes sense since this is a automotive forum. I mean just the other day this guy I work with got a nice 95 SR5 4Runner in great shape and the first words out of my mouth were...you guessed it. How many miles does it have? Any one agree?

If it is possible from a programming standpoint too of course. Mods?

Be hard to keep them updated all the time. I put about 60 miles a day on my truck.

maybe we can add an electronic device into our runners, that connect to a designated satellite that updates our mileage here on yt... $$$$ yes, but i mean, look at the benefits. everyone here on yotatech will know your exact mileage at any given moment in time

lol.. sig's work best in my opinion

I think whatever Corey and Co. came up with would involve the same number of steps that updating a sig would entail.

You would most likely have to go into the user CP

Yea but after work when I get home or like today when I come in from the lake with 2 wet dogs jumping around my miles would be last thing I look at. I don't even remember last time I looked at my miles.
Just because I wouldn't want to keep up with it don't mean you couldn't add it to your sig or something. I just wouldn't think to do it all the time.

Yeah I drive 526 miles a week to and from work so it would be a pain to update constantly. Plus the milage doesn't corispond directly to the motor and rest of the truck, since some like myself have replaced and rebuilt their motors. For example. The truck has 220K, replaced motor @143K, and rebuilt the replaced motor at 200K. So which milage would be relevat? Not knocking the idea but wondering what someone would get out of the information?

Nope. too hard to keep updated. If anything, I say add a field for year/model of rig. But that wouldn't work well for people with multiple toys.

Not sure but there are a gazillion posts regarding this and in the interest of saving disk space and threads about this, I just thought it would be a good idea.

I see the point everyone is making about updating the mileage...it would require some effort.
