Ok so I'm looking for 285/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos and I just can't seem to find them cheap anywhere. I believe this is the most expensive A/T tire out there. I've been given quotes from 170 / tire (Discount Tire) to 240/tire (Belle Tire) !!!

Is this how much you paid for yours?

Tire rack has them for 160/tire, but factoring in shipping and mounting, it comes out to be around 185/tire.

I would try either a local Firestione dealer ( check online as Bridgestone usually has some coupon) or Costco. Lately, I have heard Costco's prices were better than Firestone.

Better deal that from TireRack. Just ask them if it's the best they can do and they should give you one tire "free" since they have a lot of room to work with.

Search tirerack.com (usually the cheapest on-line) and then bring that price to a brick and mortar tire dealer - they'll usually match the price. I went to Peerless Tyres here in Boulder, and they matched the price AFTER i calculated shipping (still about 10 bucks cheaper per tire). I also got a 10% discount because I applied for their credit card, whichI then immediately paid off.

265/75/16 the 265/70/16's are passenger tires.

 

I just called a local firestone, 930 out the door

Subtract 50 for mounting, it still comes out to be 220/tire.

Searched tire rack already, and I'm trying to get 285/75's

 

try wheel works...... i used to work @ one and they will always underut another store... even if tis the same company, just to get your business..... also, wheel works had an issue about tire rack, you could buy the tires from tirerack, but wheelworks would still charge you $20 per tire to minut, dismount and balance your new tires, but if you bought the tires from them, then it would jsut be $11 for lifetime balance and free mounting

 

Don't call, go get a quote. Then ask if that's the best they can do. If they say yes, then walk out. You'll probablyy get a better deal though.

 

Hey Rob, that is really weird. I have a set of revo on my rig now and I am thinking to get the same size you are looking for. I went to the local firestone a few days ago, and they told me that firestone is having a sale as of this moment till the end of this month-buy 3 get 1 free deal. I got a deal for like $790 mounted with lifetime balance/rotate and road hazard thingy!! You might wanna check with them one more time.

 

Do you have Costcos down there? I know I can get 265/75s from them for $600 mounted and balanced so 285s shouldn't be much more.

Yeah there are definately Costco's down there, but not sure if they carry the 285's.
Costco is almost unbeatable on price if they carry them (they include M&B in the price of the tire).

 

On the firestone/bridgestone site, there is a 10% off on 4 deuler h/t and a/t tires. technically the Revo is a deuler a/t w/ unit-t tech....

 

Got mine from the local Bridgstone dealer (Duxlor Tire). Less than The Tire Rack. Under $700 included insurance, free rotations the works.

 

for those of you with the Revos, how are they off-road?

Mud? Rocks? Gravel?

good AT. NOT A MUDDER. Great in sand, snow, mild mud, dirt. The clump a bit w/ mud ( actually the turn into slicks) I have 285 with maybe 5000miles and love them as a DD. The only issue, is I don't always drive on the street.
What I am getting at is...We have another 4runner w/ 265 Revos, so it would be ok for me get a M/T, plus they are street friendly.

If you wheel in a lot of muddy, sticky stuff, then I might consider an M/T as they wear fairly well and aren't that loud.

 

Didn't take em off road yet, but in the rain they are great.
I have a spot that I used to always hydroplane in with the stock Dunschlops, and I drove through it with the Revo's and nothing. May I add it wasn't the Revo's being new because when I bought the truck new, the Dunlops had 7 miles on them and I hydroplaned in the same spot.

Really good in the snow too.
