Correct installation of Amsoil filter?

I had to stuff my Amsoil filter in the airbox (first time use). I looks like cheese oozing out of the side of a burger. Is this correct or do I have to stuff it completely in the box to get the lid to join the box like it does with a paper filter? A support guy at Amsoil confirmed the TS108 to be the correct filter and mentioned his has the 'sandwich' effect happening as well.

Yes, you're correct with the sandwich effect. Once its installed it won't move until you remove it for cleaning.
