Freeware Housecall includes beta spyware, adware, trojan and worm cleaner plus virus scan. I just updated and scanned with my other stuff (SpyBot, Ad-Aware, MS, and AVG) and will see if it catches anything new. Web based, nothing to load but an ActiveX control. Top rated programs, too.

Doesn't work if you installed windows with Canadian English. Only with traditional (US) english or traditional chinese. Last time I checked they spoke English in the UK before they did in the US. Must be a microsoft thing.

Anyhow, won't run on my Canadian English computer. Not very well thought out in my opinion.

 

eh, its 'american', so expect them to be picky, actually alot of software decides to be cranky when you arent on english (u.s.).. simply click: start>control panel, then click on 'regional and language options', switch the language to English (U.S.), scan.. switch back.. its worth it, housecall is a great program (why i added it to the 'pc tips')

least.. it was, not too sure about this re-vamp they did.

 

Why do they support the chinese, and not the Canadians? Beats me, doesn't me make feel special. Mind you, I am actually a Dutch citizen. I've been in Canada since 1991. When I am here I am the Dutch guy, and when I go to Holland I am the Canadian guy. Funny how that works.
