Brake dust sucks -- What new pads should I get?

I cant handle it anymore.

I'll wash the car, and then a week later I have the brown-red brake dust covering my front wheels. Its just annoying to me as hell. I think it makes any car look crappy.

Now I look at every other 3rd gen and late 90's taco's and none have the same problem as I do....and I know everyone aint washing their car once a week.

What brake shoes/pads are you guys using for the front brakes?

I dont really want to buy those things that keep the dust from hitting the wheels either...I just want to fix the problem and get some decent brake pads that dont give me this red color.

Thanks,!

What pads are you running now?
Have you tried the ceramic pads yet?

Some do, some don't:

Also helps to apply anti-squeel to the backing plates as well.

Brakes plus installed ceramic pads on mine and no dust or squeal. I can't remember what brand they were but they work.

I had that problem, it was awful, by alloy wheels were black all the time. Turned out the bad brake dust occurs when you need new pads. Maybe you just need new pads?

The only experience I've had were the OEM pads which didn't dust and Performance Friction pads . I removed the OEM pads at about 65k miles (still in very good condition) and put the Performance Friction pads on. The PF pads dust a lot compared to the OEM pads.

I just installed Raybestos Quiet Stop ceramic pads. They feel like they stop better than the OEM pads to me. They are very quiet as the name implies and ther is little to no brake dust. They're suppose to out last OEM too.
