Spammers and con artists are brain dead

This is the latest email scam I received.
They try to get you to go to a site to put in your account info, but they leave all of the spam words in there too that try and trick the junk mail filters.

They gotta be brain dead if they think anyone will fall for these tactics.

I just ignore them. They aren't worth my time to even skim over for entertainment. I am sure that some guillable types do respond, otherwise they wouldn't even exist.

yeah, that is sad. Its gotten to the point where I don't even open email anymore if I'm not certain who its from. I understand that some of the emails will report back to the sender once you open them, letting the sender know that your email address is a valid address. Then the spam floodgates open up and you get inundated with more spam.

Usually you would have to click on a "read receipt", and then that would report back.
I am not sure if they can track you just by you opening up an email.

Does anyone know this for sure?

And never ever respond to spammers by cussing them out or just to tell them off.
That lets them know a live email address is out there.

Half the time anyways their emails are fake and will bounce back to you.

I believe that is the case for a plain text email. But I thought that some emails that have pictures or links embedded in them can inform the sender when opened by the receiver. I dunno for sure, though, so I never open anything I don't recognize anymore. I used to reply by typing "remove". Back in the day that worked sometimes, but now not worth the chance.
