Flare installation Question.

I know somewhere on this forum is the answer to my question but I can't find it. I have my Bushwackers painted and ready to install. All I need to know is how to install them with my factory RBs. I saw a thread where somebody cut their RB's end caps on their 2nd gen to be able to fit the flares. If that person is out there or if anyone has a link to that thread PLEASE let me know what to do.
BTW, I was quoted close to $200 to have the flares painted to match my truck. I went to Pep Boys and bought import paint to match and I sanded, primed, and carefully painted them myself. They look great and cost me less than $30. Screw the man!
I just thought I would pat myself on the back a little. Thanks for reading this post and thanks in advance for any input.

I plan to paint my flares someday. Good to know that it can be done easily...

nerf bars aren't too bad but i like the look of the running boards better. I want the look of a street cruiser and in my opinion the nerf bars make the truck look a little more off-road rugged. Which is cool but not the look I want. Although as I think about it some chrome ones might look nice.

If you decide to go with nerf bars, you can sell your running boards on eBay. I took mine off of my 91 and got $122.50 for them.

If your set on keeping your RB's do it like Chris Steger using the endcaps from a 92 PU. Good luck!
