cleaning small toyota lettering?

I know this might seem like a petty question, but one of the tacoma letters on the back of my truck is alot darker than the others...I have tried rubbing on it and it will not clean up to match the other letters.Does anyone know of a way to clean this or have any other advice? Thanks.

Sling some mud on the whole thing and nobody will notice.

Remove all decals and emblems. It looks better anyway.

Here is a true answer, not one of those dont do it man answers. lol I would try cleaning it with a cotton swab and cleaning solution like ummm simple green might work or chrome cleaner. If it will not clean then get some chrome spray paint and spray it onto a downey paper towel and dab it onto the part so you dont deal with masking it off and over spray. This is the best advise I can give you w/o seeing a pic of what exactly we are talking about. Hope you get it fixed up. i tend to be this detailed in certain parts on my rig or the fiances rig. i think its fun.

Simple green will strip your wax though. I agree with debadging it. Just be careful doing so. I found that a hair dryer and and piece of thin wire will cut through the tape.
