time for a lift soon..help the newbie

so, with my collection of cash starting to rise i think im ready to do my lift. I want to do 3" tops and im wondering what would be the best ways of doing this. remeber im a noob and i really dont know what im doing as far as this lift so this is my idea. 3" lift leafs from downey for the rear. what do i need to do to the front? crank the torsion bars? Id rather not do any body lifting

or..pro comp 4" lift kit which is $649-$100 instant rebate from 4wheelonline.com..which would be the easiest and best performing?
