heater lights on a gen1.
My FSM shows a bulb replacement for the heater/AC/fan/defrost. I have not found any bulb to replace. I would love to be able to tell where hotter/colder more less fan at night. yes I do have it down from memory but it always envolves some fumbling. the runner is a NOV 85 production model, SR5.
lets suppose I'm not blind for a moment, has anyone put an LED or two behind or above said controlls for some light. thanks for any help

The face plate pops off carefully, then unclip the clear light lens block at it's right side. The clear lens is still in it's place in the pic below. Your bulb will be the little green dot that fit in the small socket in the back of the lens. You can get a new bulb at radio shack, and then transfer the green cover onto it. Or you can go red.

Yah, what dajabr said. I drove mine around for almost three years before I got around to replacing the bulbs in the heat control, ash tray and glove box. What was I thinking....ok ok I was just too lazy allright.

thanks fellas, I've done everything but check with my pecker but still I have found no bulb or wires for the ash tray and glove box. the pictures are great thanks, I'll disassemble the heater again I most likely just pussed out and didn't dig down far enough.
after checking the ash tray area, I did find that my CLIT-O-meter wiring wasn't giving up any volts, perhaps the dimmer switch is out and..... ah sh*& I'll spend some more time on my head, with the heater on, its cold out and no shelter or heating.
