how many times and for what reason?

me: once just to test it out.

 

like 20 times... due to ice and snow.

 

Just two nights due to snow.

 

About 4 times in SLC.

I had to use it for approx 50 miles just outside of Burns OR, on the way from Bend to SLC.

 

Used mine for 4 days all day long - 200 miles (lot's of snow)
just about everyday for a bit this winter season

 

So far, only a few times - coincidentally enough, when my wife was in the car

My tires have been good enough not to need 4wd much this winter.

 

strangely enough, 0 times when going snowboarding. innumberable in and outs while driving around town (prolly 5-6 snow days so far).

But my tires are on their last legs.

 

We dont get much snow down here in SC, but I try and use mine at least once a month for '10 miles' to keep the shafts lubricated well as per recommendation from the manual.

 

Ditto Ironmike's post above. Sadly my 4Runner didn't make my annual Christmas trip north with me this year, or the 4WD would have been used a lot more!

 

bunch of times - whenever the snow is covering the roads.

 

I think I've used it only twice, I was trying to get to my girls house. She has a very steep driveway that is about a mile long.

every couple weeks just to keep things wet

 

I've only used it like 7 times. And they were usually only in places where I had to get in a turn lane that wasn't plowed or if I was being too much of a leadfoot in the neighborhoods. I tend to keep it in 2WD and drift through turns whenever I can

 

almost everyday while i'm working [ski area]

 

easily 40-50 times. went to michigan this weekend and they got about 4-5 inches. strangely enuff, no one plows the roads there, didnt see a single plow in 3 days in the detroit area.

 

I'd say about 20 time for snow, Ice, and a little off roading.

 

So many damned times already I've lost count. It's been on for about a week straight so far. I barely got 200 miles to this tank.

 

About 15 times. Ice/snow & wheeling out on my grandparents farm.
