Got another quick questions for you guys. I'm done building up my newly rebuilt 22re and now the only thing left to do is to install an oil pressure gauge before I start it up. I want to make sure that the oil pump primes as to not tear up my jasper rebuilt 22re. The problem I'm having is that I can't find an adapter for the oil gallery port next to the oil filter. For some reason toyota tapped out that port with a british standard pipe thread tap and I can't seem to find a 3/8 to 1/8 adapter to go into the tee I bought to hook the existing oil sensor into. Anyone know where I can find the BSPT adapter?

 

Like you said it is BSP. Summit sells some adapters, here is one for 1/8 bsp to 1/8 npt: link They may have 1/8 bsp to 3/8 bsp as well if that is what you are looking for.

 

Your local parts store should have a kit w/ various adapters in their gauge section. IIRC, it's made by Sunpro and should cost less than $15.

 

Thanks, I finally found one and got it installed. In hindsight I wish I had dished out a little more money for an electronic instead of the mechanical but oh well it should work fine.
