Thermaltake Tsunami Aluminum Case

I will be upgrading my PC sometime next year with a new tower to replace my current one, and then add more RAM and a 3.2 CPU to replace my current 2.4 Intel chip.

The case I am looking at is the Thermaltake Tsunami Aluminum Case, and I Googled it the other day for some reviews, and I ran across a very cool site that has tons of videos pf products the guy reviews.

Here is the case.

If you are looking for reviews on other products he has reviewed, here is the URL.

Sherry his assistant also helps out.

Here is a review on his forum too with some pretty nice pics of the case.

Nice case, it takes no screws to secure the PCI cards, it uses clips instead.

With my case I have now, I plan on putting the 2.4 chip back into it with a new mobo and building it for a 2nd gaming rig for the other room for guests when they come over, and so my youngest son does not have to drag over his PC all the time.

Currently the PC in the other room is a PIII 500, not enough HP to run the current crop of games like my main PC.

Has anyone seen this case in person, and if so what did you think about it?

I've seen it at the Fry's electronics out here in Burbank,Ca. I like the case esp. since it doesn't use screws for add-on cards and stuff. The price is what turned me off on the case....almost 3 bills.

Good price on it at Newegg which is the best place to buy most PC stuff these days,
$105.

Reviews here.

My current PC has a 80 mm fan front and rear, while this tower uses 120 mm ones.
They are quieter, as they turn slower, but push and pull more air.
This case is also known to stay pretty much dust free due to the air filter up front.
My current PC gets dusty inside very easily.
I would show you a pic, but my website is no longer working

i bought the thermaltake xaser III about 2 years ago and have loved it:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...133-108&depa=1

it was around 120$ at the time and without a power supply. I like it so much because it is super easy to put stuff in and pull stuff out. they have it set up so that you don't use screws to mount your optical and hard drives, or pci cards if necessary. it quite heavy though. the built in temp sensor and fan controls are a plus.

i had to remove the tab system for the pci cards. i unscrewed the quick-tab deal and use the normal screw in spots like any other case. my sound card and agp card are a little bit wider than most, so they wouldn't fit in.

the tsunami looks like it has a similar quick connect thing too. the xaser sort of overkills with 7 fans, but i sure have love thermaltake.

i've been upgrading my system about every year and a half for the last 6 years. haveing a good case to pull the old out of and put the new in makes it worth every penny.

Oh my, I am in love :)

Looking through a new PC mag I found one I like better than the Tsunami.
The Tsunami is nice, but I really do not care for the design of the window.

Chenbro came out with a new case just recently clearing US Customs, and is showing up now at places like Newegg.
It is so new that there are no reviews of it yet on Newegg.

A cool Flash demo.

Anandtech has a review though of it.

I was not really to crazy about the doors you have to open on the Tsunami case either to access the CD ROMS or the floppy drive.
Also the USB ports on the Tsunami are on top, and would be very hard to get to if I even could with the tower in my desk.

The Game Bomb II from Chembro has them right in front where they should be.
