there was another slight problem with my truck. when the axle got opened up, it looked like somebody poured a chocolate milkshake in it. everything on the inside was completely trashed. he got the axle rebuilt, gears and locker installed. supposedly the front end should be all done by tonight and then i'll post more pictures.

If you don't mind me asking how much is this going to end up costing?? Just curious since I'm pretty close this is something I may consider in the future.

if i was just getting the front axle installed and all the necessary components would cost about 1800, 2k including the price of the axle. thats everything installed and truck rolling. for me its costing around 4k, i got new gears, rear locker, rear springs, new tires, new shocks, all new parts for the axle, etc. it kinda depends how far you want to go on it. im sure some of the other guys who have done the sas will tell you the same thing.

hey shane, im not exactly sure whats going on with the bumper, i showed him your pics and everything but i think he was going to go another way with it. as long as its on and i can still winch off of it im fine. i havent heard much more about the progress on my truck since i last posted so im gonna head down there today to take some new pics and see how its all coming together. i might head back out into Tahuya when it done to test it out but it will only be in 2wd(w/ locker) to play around. i'll post again later tonight

Is that price including labor? If it does, that's pretty cheap.

I agree with Anthony. If you are getting a rebuilt ARB locked and regeard front axle hung along with rear springs, gears and tires for 4k, you ought to be arrested. Please fill in the blanks.

here is a price break down for everything i have purchased and or thinking about purchasing. im pretty sure this is all of it but i may have left something out.

High Steer Kit ($395.00) X 1 = $395.00
Front Vented Rotors ($39.00) X 2 = $78.00
Set of Three Brake Lines - Red ($85.00) X 1 = $85.00
Frame Tubes ($20.00) X 1 = $20.00
Frame Jigs (pair) ($20.00) X 1 = $20.00
U-Bolt Flip Kit - 84-85 Front ($49.00) X 1 = $49.00
U-Bolt Flip Kit - 88-95 Rear ($49.00) X 1 = $49.00
Front, 4 Inch Lift, Leaf Springs (pair) ($249.00) X 1 = $249.00
Rear, 4 Inch Lift, Leaf Springs (pair) ($349.00) X 1 = $349.00
shipping from marlin = $200

BBC shocks- ($100) x 4 = $400
sky axle widening kit = $200
Aussie Locker shipped = $266

cost of gears and install front and rear with rear locker = $490

knuckle rebuild kit = $85
wheel bearing kit = $80

35" ssrs shipped to me = $880

cost of front axle = $225
new front drive shaft= $180

labor including fabing my arb bumper, front hangers, and shock hoops = $900

total $5173

now if you start subtracting things that im selling from my truck

33" ssrs = -$500 (sold)
4" TC lift = -$400 (have a buyer lined up)
4.88 gears in thirds = -$400 (have a buyer lined up)
33" AT's w/ rims = -$500 (have a buyer lined up)

new total = $3373

with possibilty of getting a new arb locker upfront installed for = approx $500 cus i might have a hook up
longs and chromos (the originals) = $585

with those im looking at $4485
