im new to the toy thing i was a chevy man till i had to keep working on them lol but now i have got a toyota from my buddy i got it for 1200 bucks its a 1993 p/u 22re 5speed no a/c runs real good its got i think a 7in lift but its 2x4 lol i dont know what he was thinking im going to take all the lift off its a fabteck lift im going back stock i wanna see how fast i can make this truck when we were 16 i thot the truck was fast but i was young and didnt know what fast was lol but i loved the truck anyways. his dad was the first owner so i know where its been all hes ever done was a timing ch. its got 193000 ml on it. so here is some things i liked to know if anyone has the time what sould be the first mod i do ? should i re-do the motor first if so should i just get a kit for about 300.00 bucks and do it myself ? or should i just let it ride and start with the mods ? if i should re-do it where is a good place to get the kit? lol theres more . what kind of air intake would best work for me i see that you can cut some hole in the air box but im not shur you can do that to mine? i used some of that sea foam i read about today so i dont know if it worked or not yet but i will let you know what i think .i just put a muffer on but i think im going to put a megaflow on thats what i think some one said would give me a little more low rummble ?

Nope, you've got a Sixth Gen pickup.
If it was a 4Runner it would be 3rd gen...

For 4Runners it's a bit different:

First gen: 1984-1989 *the 4Runner shared the same chassis as the pickup
Second gen: 1990-1995 *4Runner began to differ from the pickup
Third gen: 1996- 2002
Fourth gen: 2003 +

I did that in fun, I couldn't resist.
I've never heard the "first gen, third gen" stuff anywhere else but on this forum. My father was a Toyota dealer so I've always known that 1984 was NOT the first generation, but hey, whatya gonna do? Swimming against the current is no fun...

i do that too occasionally. but usually most people just start when 4 wheel drive was introduced...though you could say that the '75-up downey/wolverine conversions are the 1st gen
