Fender Flares w/o Running Boards

Fender Flares w/o Running Boards
I recently purchased some used oem black toyota fender flares for a 1999 SR5 4runner. The set is designed to be used w/ a running board. I have decided that I want to use the flares, but I want to remove the running boards. I was told by someone on this board that I need to get end caps for these if I'm not going to be using running boards with them.
The guy at my local Toyota dealership parts department told me that you only need end caps if you ARE using running boards. So please, someone who has oem fender flares w/ out running boards, take some pictures of the end caps and give me the part #s for them so that I can just give that to the dealer.
The fender flares didn't come with any hardware, and since the old chrome molding that I used to have didn't have the little pieces that go on the back doors, I don't have the hardware for those pieces. I'll have to order those clips and screws that go in the holes for the little pieces. I've already ordered the hardware kit for the rear fender flares, so hopefully it comes with everything I need. If you dont' think it will, let me know what I need to order and give me a part #.
Thanks for your help everyone.

Just to verify you are talking about the front flares, right? If so, then you don't need "caps" you need to ask them for the front mud flaps. If I recall correctly, they are pretty expensive from the dealer. I lucked out and bought mine locally (haven't taken my boards off yet though).
