I have a questions that I am hoping someone can help me out with.

I just installed a new 22RE into my '88 pickup. I was reinstalling the intake and EFI unit when I came across a problem. While fitting the new fuel injector grommits and seals into place I noticed that the latex sleeve on the tip on one of the injectors had split and began to peel off. I phoned every dealer, part supplier, and salvage yard in town and ask about the availability of this sleeve. Nobody had such an item or even had it listed.

Because the little sleeve already comes preinstalled on the fuel injectors by the manufacturer, I was told that I would have to purchase the entire injector.

Does anyone know where I could order a rebuild kit that would include this sleeve or if, even better, where I could purchase this piece seperately?

Any information would be a big help.

If anybody is parting out a Toyota with a 22RE and has a some dead injectors that they are going to tosss, please let me know asap. I will pay a good price to get my hands on a set of sleeves.

You can have them rebuilt for $12 a piece and they will come with new pintle caps (the piece you are talking about). Rich over at Cruzin Performance does a great job. He just got done with my set. Expect to see feedback in the Vendor Section very soon.

i second the cruzin performance, he did my injectors a little over a year ago, excellent work and low price, i reccommend him to anyone needing injector rebuild.
