I own a 3.0 Gen 2 4Runner, Where's My Coolant Temp Sensor
Can Anybody tell me where the Coolant Temp sensor is on my 3.0? I am pretty sure that I need to change it. My guage is freaking out bouncing from 0 to mid range when the engine is running and when I start the engine it takes a good 10 minutes for the guage to move off of 0. My idle shoots up to 2000 RPM until the engine warms up on the guage and my city gas mileage has fallen off since this started happening. Any help will be great

It's on the motor on the driver's side near the cab. Here is diagnostic procedures with an ohmmeter : http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...98engineco.pdf
Here is the location diagram : http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...94electron.pdf
Sounds like it could be the ECT. I'm not really sure, though.
