drivers side low beam was out, not bulb
I have a 92 pick up and the drivers side low beam was out, so I replaced the bulb and it still didn’t work. High beam worked. I tested the new bulb with an ohms meter bulb is ok new and old one. Tested voltage at bulb, I finally figured out that the switch puts ground on the bulb to light it. There is no ground on the connector on low beam drivers side, there is on the passenger side. There is ground on high beam both sides. I tried to chase the wiring from the light to the steering column switch and it must chance colors somewhere.
Dose anyone have any idea where to trouble shot this wiring trouble? Can I run the low beam ground from the passenger side to the driver’s side?
Thanks

Just run the wire straight to ground. The low beam filiments will stay on any time the headlamps are on, making your highbeams that much better (do this to both sides). As an added benefit, the low beams will be brighter, as the voltage loss from the connector back to a good ground is typically 1.5 - 20. volts, due to the small gauge wire and all the connections in the stock harness.
