Exclamation Tacoma Reg Cab Upgrading Speaker?

i just got a 99 tacoma regular cab. my problem is the stereo is a stock cassette deck and the speaker quality is among the worst i have ever heard. i put 6 1/2'' speakers in my old 4runner and liked them a lot. it took some cutting but they came out nice. i was just wondering how tough it would be to put 6 1/2''s in my tacoma. i work next to a junkyard and they give me pretty well anything i ask for so ill get a newer tacoma cd/cassette combo to install. mainly just worried about the speaker install for now. they suck.

if you put a better head unit in the sound quality will improve greatly, I'm still running the stock speakers and a pioneer head unit, sounds great, i think the stock stereo doesn't have enough power to give the speakers their full potential
