What do you know? STARTER PROBLEMS?

OK today it has been raining like crazy. I got in the runner at the bank and went to turn the key and nothing happened. The lights, radio, and all come on and the battery has charge. The starter was quiet no clicking what soever. After numerous tries it finally cranks right up with no hesitation. Then tonight it done it agian. What is the problem? Contacts? I have checked the relay for rust or being loose but it is so random.

I just went through this myself.....it is the contacts! I got the replacements from dealer for $13.00. They were very easy to change...getting the starter out was a pain...but not that bad.

Be sure and make sure the positive lead on the starter is tight first. If it is, then it's probably the contacts.
