Talking good day all

hello and ... hello. im new to this sight, but it all seems awesome. I have just recently purchase a 1994 4Runner finally recieving my dream truck after 5 years. i have wanted a 4Runner for 5 years!! And praise the LORD i finally got one, im excited if you can't tell. I will be starting modifications as soon as i can, not to crazy, just wanna enhance the performance, i know how slugish they can be. maybe lift it a bit, throw some KC's atop. some nice AT's. has anyone tried those Fram Air Hog's yet or should i just go with the K&N? thanks Erik
Oh yeah, I'll get a pic of my rig up soon.

congrats on the purchase, and welcome to yotatech. lots of useful information here, and im sure the mods will be flying at ya! as far as your question to the airhog, my buddies running that in his 95 tacoma, and i've got the k & n in my 94 pickup, theres not much of a difference from what we can tell. i think the air hog is the cheaper of the two if you get it at walmart.

Congrats on the purchase! Your going to enjoy it. My mother's had a 94 from almost new, and everyone in the family loves it. Its a Toyota, so you know its a great truck!

Save money and do this mod. I would say go K&N but thats me. Plenty of guys will have better ideas for you as for which air filter to go with.
Intake Mod

Performance wise upgrading that air intake & the exhaust will help. Also tune that engine up if it has not already been done. Oh and welcome to YT!

Big Bad is that mod applicable to a 91 v6 as well? I'm sure it is but just thought I'd run it by you beforehand.

I'm not the most engine intelligent in the world, but beleive me i want to know all that there is to know. that mod wont mess with important things like emissions or gas milage or anything? and what do you mean by tune that engine up? what can i do to learn, is ther a book i can get or a web page on teh engine of my 4runner. i want to do it all myself but as of now i dont know much of anything. but im willing to learn and thats 1/2 the battle.
