So what are the differences with the 22r motor? I have a 93 22re will the earlier efi 22r heads fit my truck? I have one and I want to send it out to get some headwork done. Any help is appreciated.

 

i believe in mid '84 Toyota changed the 22r a little bit, I'm not sure to what extent but they did, if you get a square valve cover head then it should swap, there are a few 22r experts on here that can answer your question better

 

in '85 toyota changed from the short head and tall block to a tall head and short block. all '85 to '95 heads should be interchangeable
