Hard Start 3.0 Urgent

this starting is getting very old

when cold the truck starts easy but then abotu dies when you give it gas and it hesistates when giving it gas until it warms up

once its warm the truck takes atleast 5 cranks to start but it always starts

i replaced the starter contacts and i think it helped a little bit with warm start

i show no codes and it runs great when warm

could having my exhaust cut off after muffler cause the bad running?

could be a clogged fuel filter bad fuel pump. Maybe distributor cap-rotor or pickup coil.

Is your voltage dropping at idle? Check your battery cables for dry rot. Also check your o2 sensor.

Obviously you want to ensure all the basic maintenance is done on the truck (plugs, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, clean throttle body, adjust timing, etc). Next you should thoroughly check the fuel and electrical systems to ensure they are working properly (fuel pressure, battery voltage, alt voltage, etc).

I doubt that because the engine ECU doesn't even use the O2 reading until it has reached sufficient temp.

Consider first option to replace EFI relay's.
Primary relay under hood and 2nd relay under dash left of heater core.

It's a know problem that older 89-95 and some older models suffer from relay contact corrosion.
