Dumb question about 15 inch wheels on a '02

I know benn asked before but will 15 inch wheels fit on a '02 LTD 4x4with the 16 inchers stock?? I'm just wondering due to the bigger brakes?
Thanks

also...correct me if I am wrong, but I think it is a 5 bolt pattern on 15" wheels and a 6 bolt pattern on 16" wheels. (i think)

They most probably won't fit due to the bigger rotor.
That was the case in 3rd generation 4Runners anyway.

It may depend on the wheels you have. When I had a Tacoma and hung out on TTORA, this was a common swap. If anything you may have to grind a small nub off the end of the caliper. I want to do this to my wifes Runner eventually because the 31" tires are much cheaper than the stock 235/75/16 tires, yet are the same outside diameter. Certain rims will swap with no modifications.

NOpe 15" wheels are also 6 lug pattern making it possible to fit the newer 16" TRD wheels on the older rigs.

Yep, you're right. All 4WD's Toyotas have the 6 lug pattern, and many other makes like Chevy will also fit Toyotas.

Question....When 4runner leave the factory with 15's (like mine according to door sticker), and then the port or dealer installed the 16's, do they also install the larger brakes? I think that was part of the package too....
