Question What else to get with $70

Ok I've been seriously contemplating doing this. I wanted to go with a blue or white glow. I can get it intalled for $70. Am I nuts or would anyone else do this. by the way i was trying to go for a street look rather than offroad since i dont have a 4x4. Looking for all comments good or bad

Dude Sell your Runner and trade it in for a Honda Ricer... Than go ahead and Rice it out. Do Not Disgrace a Runner like that.

i really think its a disgrace to any car, let alone a runner.

ive seen this on brand new g35s and 350z's.... the guy spent so much on those beautiful sports cars.. and adds a stupid, worthless, cheesy glow? makes no sense.

Ugh;hasn't neon been played out by the car crowd like last millenium. Don't do it but you could just pay me $70 to poop on your truck,it'll have the same effect.

Talking Rock lights

I've seen quite a few rigs in off-road mags doing such if they wheel at night so they have cheap rock lighting and some lighting to fix stuff by should they break something at night under the rig. It still looks if you ask me.

Save the $70. Spend it on something else. Get a hood protector/bug guard. They add a nice touch. Or why not some fog lights. I do have to agree that it's one of the top positions for worthless crap on a vehicle.

I'm gonna agree with everybody. A guy down the street has an F-150 with a green underbody lighting kit, and I laugh at him everytime he roars up the street. Function over style, I say.

Do what you want - it is your truck, afterall. You are getting a lot of negative feedback, obviously. That's to be expected from a forum where almost everyone refers to their vehicle as a "rig". I'm sure if you went to a tuner or street truck forum you would get the exact opposite reaction.

Oh god, PLEASE NO! You might as well get a big combat wing to go with it.... :pat: As stated earlier, sell your Runner and buy a "VTech" badged ricer Civic if you want to do it.

thank you all for bringing me to my senses, i guess i just have about $70 that are burning a hole in my pocket. Any ideas as to what i should get. I already tinted my front windows 20%, bought a rear deflector, added Trd decals, chrome exhaust tip, new A/T tires, tinted my bumper lights, already have a bug deflector, just bought clear corner lights and just installed a system.. Open to ideas.....

Thought of a couple things
Black Aluminum pedals $20?
Window deflectors $45?
Fog lights $20?

much better...

I was at walmart yesterday and almost got some "rock lights" as we call them. They had some descent lights for $9 each. It was a toss up between that and a new mouse... the mouse won this time, but next time... next time...

I guess, I'm the only one that will say having the LED lighting has helped quite a bit for rock crawling at night. The BLING factor alone is worth it.

I installed a set out at Hammers and they are great for working on the rig at night.
