2001 4Runner Limited Pics

Just installed the TRD Ivan Stewart Wheels and so I thought I'd show off the truck a bit. I purchased this truck a couple of months ago and it had just under 20K miles on it at the time. I'm really fond of the color scheme as I haven't seen too many Runners in this scheme. It's Thundercloud and Millenium Silver

Enjoy!

Thanks for the replies.

Kevin: Sorry, I received the bug deflector as a b-day present a while back and so I'm not sure what it cost but I would guess around $60 or so.

Calg3: I was really nervous about the balancing issues with these wheels. I hemmed and hawed about whether or not to buy them for about a month and then just decided to take the plunge. I had them installed by Discount Tire here in AZ and made it really clear to them that balancing was an issue and I wanted them to be as close to perfect as possible. So far I've run the truck up to about 75 with no vibration or problems as all *knocking on wood and crossing fingers*. I'm really happy with the appearance...they are great-looking wheels.

I LOVE those wheels. I just can't afford them. I wasn't aware that there was a balancing issue. What's the deal?

hey, what did you do with your original wheels? I might be interested, and since we both in AZ there will be no shipping.

Let me know by PM or e-mail.

Thanks guys!

X-AWDriver: I'm not aware of 22" wheels in this design. I believe these wheels were originally manufactured for TRD by MHT/Niche. Niche had a version of them called the "Throttle" (which you can find on eBay for $500) but I have never seen them in 22" size. Maybe they made them that large at one time. I don't know.

LSU: The wheels weren't that expensive. I purchased them from Toyota of Goldsboro as they have them for sale on eBay. They were $725 delivered which I thought was decent since they also included the valve stems, lugs, locks and sockets. If you do a search here or on TundraSolutions.com you'll find a ton of issues with people having problems getting these wheels to balance. I guess they're sensitive...or rather the Toyota trucks are sensitive to balancing. At any rate, I'm happy with mine so far.

Andrey: I'll trade you the wheels for your SC and 7th injector ...just kidding. I may be interested in getting rid of them. They are in excellent condition since they only have 20K miles on them and I don't think there's any curb rash etc. I think I'll hold onto them for a couple of weeks just to be sure that the new wheels turn out to be okay but I'll definately keep you in mind here. Let me know if that time-frame would work for you. Maybe we could meet up somewhere between here and Tucson or maybe southern Phoenix. PM me if you want to talk about it.

Oops...sorry, didn't catch that. At any rate, I think they are only available in 16x8.

Thanks Lee. I'm not sure what the tint percent is but I'm pretty sure I know it's not as dark as the limo on my old Accord. It might be 20....not sure...sorry.

Those wheels look really good on your runner! I wonder how a set would look on my 2nd gen?
