I refilled my T-case the other day. It has been fine for about a day then I could smell gear oil when I parked. I found a large amount of fluid all over the sides of it and a small puddle on the ground so I did some checking the rear output seal is dry and the sides of the case weren't leaking so it was coming from somewhere up top. I pulled the top shifter boot off and looked at the top of the T-case for grins I put a socket on the bolts for the T-case plate all but 1 of them were quite loose. I tightened them all down and put it all back together soaked the tranny and tcase down with engine brite blasted it of with a pressure washer let it dry drove around town and voila leak is gone now.
I thought I would put that out there incase anyone was experiencing the same issue it's a first for me I never have seen them leak from the top before it's usually the sides or the rear seal..
