Canadian dealer wants $125+ for shipping of a hood guard?

I am trying to source a Canadian Hood Guard. A dealer is willing to send it to me for $96 canadian and he says Fed Ex Ground shipping is $125 canadian. That seems WAY high. Is it?

Did he mean $125 would be the total with shipping? If not, that seems alot for shipping

I purchased a hood protector from my local dealer (In Canada) and it cost me $75. It would be less in US dollars so I think the price you where quoted is a bit steep. Did you order it from a Canadian dealer on the West Coast?

Try Canadian Tire, or any place that stocks them.
Due to the size of the box, I could see $50 easily for shipping (shipping has gone up drastically in the last few months.) Add for Foreign shipping, plus Fedex is higher than UPS, and I can imagine it hitting $75-80. Then convert that to CDN and $110 is the ballpark. Bottom line is you don't want to special order and pay the freight.

I can get the OEM hood protector for you but I know the shippping is going to be steep. I shipped a valance and it cost me about $90cdn to ship it to the US. It's not the weight that cost a lot, it was the size. Just let me know.

hey guys, just try ordering something from the us and ship to canada! first there is the exchange, then depending on the province you live in, provincial sales tax, oh, and of course we cant forget our beloved federal government. they want to tack on duty/excise tax/gst! we need to get branch offices of your 4x4 specialty shops up here and pronto!

Would anybody know the dimensions of a box for the hood guard? It would give me an accurate estimate, so I can help him out.
