Seafoam for oil?

Seafoam for oil?
as I am reading the can, you can also use the seafoam for oil? I have heard about it being used for Fuel treatment and intake cleaning, BUT what about for the oil?

supposedly, you add it to the crankcase oil as a detergent about 500 miles before your next oil change and it will help to loosen up any deposits in the engine.
