Gapping plugs 101...

I just ordered the recommended NGK plugs for my '99 V-6 4Runner. My dumb question is this: They are supposed to be gapped to .043. Since the plugs have 2 prongs, do I set the same .043 gap between both prongs and the electrode?

What do you mean specifically by "be careful"??? Is it a tough job?

It's tricky in that you have to tweak two electrodes per plug, and you don't want to over-tweak one.

I just went through this same question with the Denso dual-electrode plugs about a month ago. The short form is that it's a lot easier than I figured, and our engines are pretty tolerant of spark gap (within reason of course).
