Saved about $150 this past weekend... I tackled rebuilding my starter and thanks to the "Tech Section" I did it without breaking anything. It's certainly a project I'd recommend doing yourself. The only thing that I wish I did was replace the plunger, cause it was well pitted and corroded (another weekend project I guess).

Anyway, I just wanted to let those of you know, if you are at all apprehensive about doing this, it's not that bad.

 

Gotta questions though... what are those (2) rubber "nipple" things on the starter and are they necessary? They kept popping off when I was reinstalling it.
