June 26, Playday Cranberry Lake
Don't forget about the Faithwheelers Obstacle Course on June 26th at Cranberry Lake. That's about 20 minutes south of Tacoma, WA at 392nd and Hwy 7.
We have 2 obstacle course with similar obstacles, just different sizes. Any and all rigs can come out and play, from the stocker to the comp buggy.
The cost is FREE! A Tech inspection is required and you can find the details on our website. www.faithwheelers.com.
We'll have a MUCH improved mud bog this year and won't have last year's problem on a limited water supply. Along with a good natural supply, we're bringing in 16,000 gallons of additional water.
Many of the other obstacles will have water this year as well. The potholes and trenches will be filled with water, making them much more challenging when you can't see the lines. The log crossings will be more like a moderate version of the frame twister seen on the Tough Truck challenges.
This is free to spectators as well so come out and have fun.
I'll have a registration form available online by Monday. Anyone who brings in their registration form filled out in advance, will get a free raffle ticket. Currently we have some great prizes. ARB has a coupon for 25% off the jobber rate on anything in their catalogue, Schaeffer has donated a 3rd Gen 4runner pan hard drop bracket, Tuffy donated a $50 gift certificate, High Angle driveline has donated a $100 gift certificate, Skyjacker has donated a $500 gift certificate, a set of 4 shocks, a set of extended braided brake lines and a steering stabilizer, Billy Bob's Offroad has donated a dozen t-shirts - and more to come!
We want to thank our major sponsors, Skyjacker, the Bear of Suspensions, Northshore 4x4, Java Junkies and AOR4x4.
This is going to be a lot of fun. I hope many of you can make it out to play, if not, just to watch.

An update on the event. The course is wet, so the mud will be awesome. For you big tire, big motor guys, this is a fun event. If you're not running 35s and lockers, the big obstacle course wouldn't make sense (but nor does most of the stuff we do wheelin'. However, the smaller obstacle course would still be a blast! It's all the same stuff, just smaller.
We have also picked up some great raffle prizes and decided to put these online to purchase if you can't make it to the event. http://207.202.208.243/faithwheelers...affle_list.htm

BTW, we were up working on the course today and got some new pics. We primarily worked on tweaking the big course, a little work on the mud bog.
We start on the tweaking of the smaller course on Friday.
Here's Jaydog digging some holes on the exit of the new "Hidden Treasures Obstacle. http://209.20.253.189/obstaclecourse2004/dsc01097.jpg

This entire hole will be filled with water - the rocks will be pretty much under water. Here's the overall view of this obstacle. http://209.20.253.189/obstaclecourse2004/dsc01097.jpg
Next is the crossover check. If time allows, it may get a little taller.

Coming up is the banked turn. A motorcycle course got to this last year and smoothed it out. Jason took care of that today...

Justin takes a crack on the upgraded frame twister obstacle. This year the area between the log has been dug out again and will be filled with water. http://209.20.253.189/obstaclecourse2004/dsc01115.jpg
I didn't get any pics of the next turn that's over a large log. We have a lot of rocks to place on the exit side to make the turn more interesting. The mogules up next were also rebuilt and expanded. The trenches were cleaned up. This year the trenches will be filled with water again making is more difficult to see the lines. http://209.20.253.189/obstaclecourse2004/dsc01110.jpg
Here's a couple shots of the work getting the mud bog dug out and tweaked. http://209.20.253.189/obstaclecourse2004/dsc01116.jpg

I don't think we get many chances to get more pic published before the weekend. I hope it'll give you a good look at what lies ahead. The smaller course is being completely redeveloped on Friday.

I have the pics up from the Webfooters event that was held at the same course. 2 major differences.
1) We have a second course for the stockish rigs.
2) The Webfooters event was a competition so the rigs drove a LOT harder.
Don't let the big obstacles scare you, we have smaller ones. Don't for a second think that it'll be boring and easy either!
