Finally Lifted

well guys, having and being on yotatech for about a year, i have finally lifted my 4Runner!!!!

i went with 2 1996 landcruiser coils in the back (one longer than the other) and ball joint spacers and torsion bars adjustment in the front.

i also ended up getting new wheels do to the rubbing problem experienced by other people with the stock steel wheels and the ball joint spacers.

Before (the weekend before the lift)

and here are all the pics!

some of the pics include the pan hard drop bracket that my dad made for me based off of the downey one that WSU4Runner let me borrow

feel free to ask me any questions

and thanks to MadChemist (david) for letting me borrow the spring compressors. WSU4Runner (geoff) for letting me borrow the drop bracket. WaterBoy (jesse) for helping out with the ball joint spacer install. SMR4Runner (mike) for the power bleeder. and my 3 other friends who helped me out throughout the weekend.

Doh the site is blocked here at work. Guess I'll have to wait till I get home.
Congrats on the lift Kev.
How did the Power Bleeder work for you?

thanks guys!! but when i was sitting at les schwab waiting for my alignment it dawned on me how much larger it is and my tires are too small!!!!! hopefully i'll get some 33's this summer some time.

i don't know exactly how much lift i got cause i didn't take before and after measurments. friday night when we started we were just like hey! lets put the lift on now and forgot to take pics and measurments. meh!

power bleeder was awsome mike thanks!!!

i'll be helping WSU4Runner put on the exact same lift this weekend, so i'll make sure to take measurements and stuff.

You beat me to it...I was gonna say somethin about how small those tires looked on there. Even my old 31's looked small with a just 1" BL, if you got some 33's on there it would be killer!

I love my BFG M/T's...overall an AWESOME tire!

Truck looks great!! I have been itching to install my spacers for weeks now. I will have the same problem with the small tire issue. Unfortunatly I bought new tires just a few months ago.

nope, no part # i just bought them used off ebay! but if you look around on different land cruiser sites, you can find them used for pretty cheap. just make sure they're FJ80 coils.
