Rare glow gauges (1st gen)

Just thought I would post this since I have never seen these for first gen non-tack toyotas.

hey you know, aren't the fuel and temp gauges supposed to be on opposite sides? mine were in my old '84

I have no idea. I've never owned a 1st gen. The fule gauge is on the right on my 2nd gen though. That is really odd. I wonder if these are for right side stearing trucks like in japan!!

that is the guage set my truck has (stock) and you're right. The fuel and water temps on that glo set is backwards. Also my idiot lights are horizontal, not vertical. I don't know what the he!! model those are for. But they do look cool.

If they were from japan, wouldn't the big speed numbers be in km/h?

There are lots of variations. The turbos had a different cluster, the 4runner was different than the pickup too. The SR5 have tachs...

The gas gauge and temp ga are separate pieces in that kit, so they're not really on the wrong side, they just placed them wrong for the pic. Make sure when you buy one of these kits that you get the right one, or either make sure you can return it if it's wrong or buy it cheap enough you can shrug it off. (I've bought them off ebay for as cheap as $21.)
