Running Boards
Hey, I have an '87 Runner with running boards that I don't believe are stock. They were butt ugly so I dropped them and it now looks great. Do you think I have to worry about mud flaps now? It would look better without them but I don't know if I'll get some scratches from flying rocks. Anyone know anything?

Well I like a nice paint job as much as the next guy, but its a four wheel drive
Its gonna get scratches.
But if you are really worried about it I don't really think it will make THAT big of a difference, but I could be wrong.

If the paint is nice, it will get chiped to hell without mud flaps. It depends on how many miles you put on it though. It take a while for major damage. If you don't drive it more than 3k a year I wouln't wory about it.
