Rear Air Suspension & Lift?

First of all...has anyone done this? I have not read any thread that talks about it.

If no one has tried, I am wondering if it is possible to add a lift in the rear with this suspension. The whole purpose of the mechanism is to keep the rear end at a set height, and if you add some lift won't the system just compensate by lowering the suspension?
If it does, won't this kill the lift in the rear?

I would really like to get the lift, but the X-Reas makes it difficult to begin with and adding in this issue might make it pointless (except to level the vehicle with maybe 1-1.5").
If I just manually raise the system, it automatically lowers itself once I exceed 22 mph and I haven't heard of any hack around this either.

If anyone knows exactly how the rear air system works and what it uses to gauge whether it needs to lower or raise the vehicle to keep it level, please let me know. All the information that you can give me is greatly appreciated.
