Made my own discos! kinda

Anyone know what could have caused this to happen:

There had been a clicking sound from that side of the truck for a month or so and today it turned into a clunk whenever i make a right hand turn. I thought I'd have a look and i found this. Anyone have a clue as to what could have made it break? Are these parts cheap? I thought i might have read something on someone making their own disconnects, if so is this an easy option?

Another question. Do the rubbber bushings that surround the sway bar wear out? If so do they have replacements at autozone or the likes? Im talking about these:

Thanks in advance.

Talking Make your own

Google for "Lars 4Runner" and he tells you how to make them on his site. All the parts are <$30 and it's easy to do.

rubber bushings are like $0.50 at Toyota. I think I got all of the front and rear bushings for $4 last year....YES they wear out.
