So, I recently did a clutch replacement on my "owned since new" '91 4Runner 3VZE V6, putting in a vehicle correct Aisin CKT-016 clutch and a new LUK flywheel. This was only the second time in 35 years that I have done this job and it all seemed to go well. Unfortunately once the truck was back on the ground and we started driving it, we noticed that when starting out in first gear, the clutch will sometimes shudder while engaging. The severity of the shudder is not dangerously intense but it varies with load (worse with a loaded truck or on a hill) and it is not consistent. Under the same conditions it will sometimes engage smoothly and other times you get the shakes.

I am looking for any information I can find on what to look for when we pull the transmission of to check this out (or possible solutions that might avoid a transmission drop). I have my list of possibilities but I thought it would be worthwhile to put this out to the community to see if there were any ideas I hadn't thought of.

Tohle chování po výměně spojky je docela typické a většinou to nebývá „špatná nová spojka“, ale kombinace několika drobností při montáži nebo povrchu. U Toyota 4Runner 3VZE je známé, že i mírně nerovný povrch setrvačníku nebo kontaminace (olej z gufera kliky / převodovky) umí způsobit nepravidelné chvění při rozjezdu.

Při dalším sundání bych se zaměřil na: správné srovnání a dotažení přítlačáku, stav a „runout“ setrvačníku, a hlavně jestli lamela nebyla lehce zamaštěná. Další častá věc je pilot bearing – když má vůli, umí dělat intermitentní shudder. Taky zkontroluj uložení motoru a převodovky, protože nové přenese vibrace víc než staré unavené díly.
