I am going to need a clutch soon and I am looking at ceramics. Anyone with experience here?

How long did your OEM clutch last?
I think anything else is over-kill.

I had a centerforce I in my 86 p/u the cluch had hold rating of 1500LB but the toyota trust washers are only rated at 1440LB, found them in the oil pan one day. The fly wheel had worn a grove in the back of the block and the oil pump had ground out the oil pump housing. The truck still ran great got 23 MPG, dont know how long the washers had been there but it cost me a new engine. I only run stock clutchs now in all my toyotas.

I think the stock clutch is rated at 1250LB but its been a long time since I read the 4wheel and off road mag that had the info. Try going to centerforces web site they will know, or downey off road.

I got the spec from an old 4wheel&off road mag around 1991 as that is when I had that truck. They did a clutch job on a toyota, I think they installed a centerforce. I still recall the info because 2 months after I read the story my motor was gone. When I read the info I thaught 60lb more hold force is only 5% over the rating so I should be OK, wrong!
Live and learn and have fun.

Mine last about 100k. That's OeM, BTW. I think that's fine. I can handle a replacement every 100k
