Austin Marr's 1992 FJ80 Build-Up Thread

I came across an amazing deal I could not pass up on this beautiful, rust free 1991 Landcruiser. Its a roller as it sits right now but I've got a 1996 Lexus LS400 1UZ-FE engine that will be going into it. I bought it as a package deal from a guy who didn't have the time for it anymore. Could not pass it up for only $3,700! The goal is to make this a very capable crawler but also highway drivable.

What's been done by the previous owner for the swap so far:
- Bolted LS400 bell housing to LC's trans
- Installed 3FE's torque converter to 1UZ

List of things I know I still need to do for the 1UZ conversion:
- Fabricate custom motor mounts (I haven't been able to source FJ80 > 1UZ specific mounts)
- Wiring (Could use some pointers on what common circuits need re-pinning or if additional wiring to "x" is needed etc.) I'll be purchasing EWD's from TIS for both the donor and recipient.
- Once the motor is in, build a custom exhaust. I may pay someone to do this but will I need a body lift to clear the crossover pipe??? Not sure what others have done.

While the engine is out and on the engine stand I plan to do:
- New starter
- EGR delete
- Timing kit
- Belt
- Spark plugs

I am very excited about this and to finally have another Toyota to take out into the woods again.
