Rain water inside cabin ( Passenger Footwell)

Hellooo
I have an issue when I park my truck in rainy weather and drive after couple of days, I find water inside the cabin on the passenger side footwell. The car computer is at this area so I am trying to solve it and identify where the water is leaking through to get to this area. Please advise . I will.also attach a picture for the windshield frame where I suspected a hole in it, but my friend is telling me that water doesn't leak from it I should look into somewhere else. I would appreciate your comments so.i can solve it

a common source for leaks in the footwells, passenger and driver side, is the gutter along the door opening, especially along the a-pillar. the factory seam sealer is now ancient, and dried out, so it is usually cracked. water wicks into the joint, and down the inner a-pillar, to be deposited on the ecu (passenger) and fuse panel (driver).

The windshield is one common source if leaks, the other is the vertical seam in the corner engine bay between the cowl and the engine bay. There should be photos in these links.

My understanding is there are two windshield sizes for these rugs. One gets glued in then capped with the chrome trim, which always leaks, traps water, and rusts out the windshield frame. The other size, which I don't think was typical in the US, takes a one piece seal that was still available on ebay a couple years ago. Some people sand the glue-in windshield down so it will work with the one piece seal, which is less likely to cause rust.

If I recall someone in the mega "rustmaker" thread, I believe already linked, did just that, but I don't recall how successful they were.

If I recall most oem parts suppliers don't offer a kit, you have to order a bunch of different part numbers.
