My neighbor has an 86 Runner and is in need of the drivers side seat belt assy. Anybody have a source?

 

Does he still have the metal parts? Got a sewing machine? Seven bucks will buy you enough material for 5 Runners: Pull out the passenger side and make a new one to match.

While you're at it, make both sides. When the belts get worn, even a little, they don't retract as well as they could.

 

Thanks for the reply but he/we don't have any access to anything like that. I think he was hoping to get a new assembly and not worry about it again for another 40 years. I could actually use one for my 84 2wd. Getting slow on the retraction when I get out of the truck

There's companies out there that rebuild your existing seatbelt assemblies.
