Passenger side seatbelts

Hi.

Just bought a '97 Tacoma and the front passenger-side seat belt is missing. Does anyone know whether I could just put the rear passenger-side seat belt in the front?

The complete seat belt is missing ??

Does your state require the original Seat belts ??

If the rear seat belt is the same I guess it would work

Yes, the entire assembly is missing. I can't tell if the front and rear assemblies are the same - was hoping to get some insights before I wasted time pulling things apart only to find they don't swap.
