Are they replacing just bearings or does this include a new gear set? Labor included? You can look at East Coast Gear supply or others and get the prices for new gears, bearings/setup kit. I personally recommend a solid pinion spacer instead of the crush sleeve but not mandatory. I'd ask what brand of bearings and gears too. Good luck with your rebuild.

Hey, thanks for the reply, that's all included with labor and new gears and everything. Not sure what brand I can ask. Does 1300 sound reasonable if all is included?

I build my own diffs so I don't know what shops typically charge. After looking up the prices for a new gear set and a setup kit, it seems kind of high to me. I could be wrong but I would be calling around and getting more quotes. The only way to know for sure if it's a fair price.

Make sure you follow the break-in procedure for new gears. Good luck and please follow up with whatever you decide.

To add, I didn't figure in labor to remove and install the diff. Not difficult but it is extra time.

Are you sure you need new gears? If you aren't re-gearing to a different ratio, what makes you think you need new gears? Other thing you might consider is changing wheel bearings while the axles are pulled. Probably would not add much to your overall cost, axles are being pulled anyway to remove the diff, so just have to press old bearings off and new ones on.
