Can anyone identify this noise

I changed my timing belt and water pump and this is the noise it made when trying to crank the engine over for the first time
I thought I did everything correct but apparently not any advice helps thank you

weird, it's like the starter is encountering too much resistance?

can you turn it over by hand, with a socket on the crank pulley bolt?

Sounds like the starter pinion gear is engaging then retracting very fast in rapid succession. Hopefully, you did not lock the motor up. Try to turn it over by hand as suggested above by @osv .
