94 4Runner 3VZE Chassis Engine Perches

Hi All,

I had my '94 3VZE 4Runner at a Garage most of last year undergoing a full Body Off Restoration, during this time I replaced my rusty Chassis with a sourced rust free one.. The Garage doing the work however binned my old Chassis before they removed the 3VZE Engine Perches from the Ladder, and instead fabricated a set.

Trouble is, they didn't do a 100% Job, and now the Engine sits a little bit too low i.e. dipping a touch at the front.. This is causing problems with Exhaust Routing [I installed Headers], and the Cooling Fan..

I cannot get a 3VZE Chassis over here in the UK, so wondering if there are a) 3VZE Perches available somewhere or b) if someone has a rusty 4Runner Chassis they could sell me the Engine Perch[es] section from..??

Any help gratefully received..

How low is too low?

Since you have to cut the old ones off anyway, would it be possible to make new taller ones? I can measure mine later if you need a length.

Could you ad or make a spacer like this to bring it up? https://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTr...oogle_vignette

Heres a shot of my stock height mounts.

Hi @rattlewagon , and thank you for your reply..!

I guess the problem is that I don't really know how too low the Perches are.. Since most of the 4Runner / HiLux Surf here in the UK are Diesel [1KZT or 2LT], I don't know [since my 3VZE Chassis was disposed of] the difference in Perch height between the Diesel versions and my v6 version.. All I do know, from looking at the first photo of my original post, is that they are different.

That solution from 4Crawler might just be the ticket.. I bought my Body Mount Kit from Roger, so happy to give him repeat custom..

If it is possible, could you measure the distance of the Blue Arrow, below..?? I can then do the same with my fabricated Perches and check the difference..

Looks like 1.75 on the bottom parts. 2" to the edge of the bracket

Well, it looks like the Perches on my 4Runner are about an Inch in total, so there is definitely the need to have them extended..

I couldn't get a Tape Measure in there to measure accurately..
