Which parking brake cable needed??

Hello all,

Just got home and I think my parking brake cable snapped.

I have a 1986 Toyota Pickup, RWD, single cab (base model too), and it is the long bed version. Any ideas which cable I need?? Rock auto shows several options. I am guessing it is the following 2, but not sure (have not been under the truck yet as it is 10p!!). Also, did not realize that there might be a left and right hand cable???? If so, I'll just replace both of them at the same time.

Thanks,
Julian

Millball gave you the link. Before going there, grab the model number off the metal plate on the firewall. That, along with the production date off the plate in the driver's door jam, is 99% of the info you'll ever need to research parts.

Take your VIN to the toyota dealership and they can give you the correct part number

Thanks guys for that great link!

I crawled under there after work while still light, and the front cable is flapping about.....the rear cables are still good. Front ordered using the link to confirm the part number!!
