84 22RE Wont rev up. With video -PLEASE HELP!
So I have a 84 toyota pickup that i efi swapped but one issue im having is i cannot get the engine to rev up when ever i blip the throttle. itll idle great but once i go to rev it up itll create a bog and makes popping noise out of the exhaust. parts i have replaced are: TPS (adjusted), AFM (aftermarket), Fuel filter, and O2 sensor. I have alternated between different ecus and the problem still persists. Timing is at 5*. I attached a video to give yall a better idea of what going on. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Do you have any codes? If you have swapped and properly adjusted the TPS and swapped ECU's, I would check continuity of the wiring between the two. And make sure the wiring is correct as far as pin location in the connectors. My reasoning is that it runs and sounds good at idle. You seemed to have checked the most likely things. Yet it seems as if the TPS either isn't telling the ECM to rev up. Or it is and the signal isn't getting to the ECM.
Do you have good fuel pressure?

I took a the connectors off the ecu and
it looks like im missing some pins in the harness connectors? the harness if off a 1987 4runner. the ecu is unknown since the label is worn off. can this be my issue?

These 40 year old fuel injected Toyotas are hard enough to keep running correctly when you have all of the correct parts on hand. It appears to me that you, sir are a glutton for punishment.
I just did the reverse on my 86 4Runner. I have a lot of really good parts that I am going to sell If you figure out what you think you might need. I have a complete fuel injection set up and two different ECUs and engine bay wiring harnesses.
One of the ECUs and wiring harnesses came from an 89/90 5-speed 4Runner. The other ECU is from my 86. The second wiring harness is from a late model 22R 5-speed, probably 94 or 95 if I had to guess. It has the new style connectors for the newer type fuel injectors.

I checked fuel pressure and I'm about 40 psi, replaced the fuel pump, replaced the fpr, replaced cold start timer switch, and re sealed the injectors and it still bogs. I'm at my wits end with this damn truck. all this work and parts for 90 hp lol.

Make sure the AFM is working correctly and the door is moving like it should.
I had an issue with my 22re years ago when the AFM went bad. It would idle fine but bog down as soon as I gave it any throttle. I was able to drive mine by being very gentle in the pedal but it wouldn't rev over 2500(or so) rpms. A guy I took it to showed me that if the air box was open and we reached up to the AFM door and manualy opened it when it the throttle was opened the engine would rev up. I replaced the AFM and it was normal after.
If you already know this then good but, if you mess with the AFM, DO NOT remove the screwes holding the harness plug in the side of the AFM. Take the little wire clip out.
