84 22re tps

Been trying to look for information on this and been only able to get info on the 85+ TPS which is widely available. I don't know if its been covered here anywhere, but when I try searching it just pulls everything but the 84 info. So here it is.

As you can see 84 was 3 plug connector instead of 4 like all the other TPS adjusting sites references. It is also a square sensor as oppposed to a round one like the later ones.

Hard to find information considering I had to give VIN to dealer to get the correct sensor since even they told me only 85+ was EFI. Odd because my truck was manufactured in 83 as an 84 year model.

Anyhow, some more digging and I found this diagram to help adjust the sensor.

Anyhow, hope this helps others who may be running into the same problem as I did.

Great info. I have ever realized that the 84 sensor was so much different than the rest 85+??
